Internet Marketing Business Model – Consult With Offline Businesses

I bet you’re frustrated over trying lots of internet marketing business models and having mixed results. I know how it feels, and it can be incredibly annoying.

Dabbling in 10 or so models myself, I have definitely made my share of mistakes and felt my share of stress. I’m pleased to say now, that one of my favorite models is consulting with offline businesses.

Why do I like this so much? Well, here are a few reasons:

1. Passive income. A lot of companies will hire you on retainer, so you have definitive income coming in every single month. You can consult for a retainer, OR you could simply offer services such as link building, hosting, SEO, etc that can be outsourced and then you pocket the profit.

2. Easy cash. What we as Internet Marketers know is incredible compared to most of the world. Usually teasing offline owners with a few tidbits of knowledge is enough to get their eyes wide open, and the sell is very easy from there.

I like to charge reasonable prices to my clients, but I know of people who are charging k and upwards per month just for “website maintenance”. It’s quite unbelievable what people are willing to pay since they don’t have the knowledge themselves.

My co-author Jaime and I have taught people how to hold weekend seminars in which they charge 7 for admission per company – not too out of budget for companies at all – and make upwards of k per weekend. It’s incredible!

3. Less competition, greater edge. Small business consulting doesn’t seem to be anywhere near as difficult as competing for space in other markets. Besides that, if one calls companies in their home city or neighboring cities, they have a bit more of an edge.

There are many other reasons why offline business is so excellent, but these are just a few to get you thinking.
